2 SEATER MATCH RACING.. THE ULTIMATE WHITE KNUCKLE RIDE.
The corner comes rushing towards you .... time to brake .... nothing! BRAKE ....!!! Relief as you feel the brakes start to bite, followed immediately by sheer panic as your back bumper comes under attack. CRASS-H-H....!!! The noise explodes within your skull .... the fence rushes towards you .... throw the car to the left .... a wheel rides up over your nerf rail just inches from where you sit strapped tightly into your seat ....! No! Not a terrifying dream! Just the reality of Match Racing in one of the innovative and radical 'Live the Dream' two seater Stock Cars.Built to the same exacting standards as a race ready F1, and with the same stringent safety features prominent in its design and construction, the two seater aims to provide passengers with the ultimate 'white knuckle' ride as it is piloted at speed by the sport's top drivers in unique match races at stadiums up and down the country and on the European mainland. Built by Frankie Wainman Junior, one of the sport's most successful and prolific car builders as well as being one of the top drivers, the cars look like F1's, drive like F1's, behave like F1's and have the same specifications as the cars which race regularly, week in and week out, during the racing season. There is just the one major difference. Both chassis are six inches wider than that of a normal F1 to make space for a passenger who sits to the left and slightly to the rear of the driver, with the passenger seat (a full wrap-around racing seat) raised slightly to allow the passenger better visibility. As the two seaters do not compete in normal races held under the rules of the BriSCA F1 governing body they do not carry the ballast normally required to bring smaller engined cars up to the lower weight limit for racing. This enables the cars to use the smaller and lighter 350 cu.inch Chevrolet power unit without sacrificing either power or speed. In fact, at a recent practice, the first of the two seaters to be built was marginally faster than several of the cars owned by top drivers currently competing within the sport. The power, speed and noise are not the only thrills to be had. The knowledge that you have no control over what is happening is guaranteed to set the heartrate pumping, and the added dimension of contact, both accidental and deliberate, creates situations which stretch the nerves to breaking point Definitely not one for the faint hearted! The cost per person for an eight lap match race is currently £60. We do offer a discount of £10 if the ride is paid for at least fourteen days in advance. Pre-paid Gift Vouchers for the two seaters are available for the discounted price of £50 per person per race, and they make the perfect gift with a difference for all occasions. Not for the faint hearted maybe, but very few physical dsiabilities prove to be a problem as both cars have been designed with the partially disabled and the 'not so active' in mind. If you have the ability to sit upright and hold on tightly to a grab rail in front of you we will get you in and out of the car safely. Children may ride with the written consent of a parent, but we do apply a height and weight rule for reasons of safety.
